APP | Web | TV Spot
DISCAVO was Germany’s leading hotel meta-search engine. As the lead designer at DISCAVO, I developed the CI. I accomplished a complete redesign of the desktop and mobile website, having a significant impact on the conversion rate. I designed and coded prototypes for the CITYGUIDE. For the iOS and Android App, I designed the UX and UI. Producing App prototypes throughout the process.
In the DISCAVO App kick-off meeting, the founders asked for the specification of features not yet available on the website. We decided on adding features such as account log in with email and Facebook, recent searches, favourite hotels and a clustered map search. After defining the features the next step was to specify each user flow.
For the website redesign, I first gained an understanding of the business objectives and defined the factors to gauge a successful redesign. Ultimately, it came down to conversion rates. My initial wireframes, seen below, started out as a full functionality redesign but due to the website using angular.js throughout there was a request to keep the front-end overhead to a minimum.
After an initial kick-off meeting with the MDs and head of marketing, it was decided the DISCAVO's CITYGUIDE would be a WordPress. I wireframed the WordPress theme to start the conversation regarding article filtering and site structure.
As DISCAVO was a part of the ProSiebenSat.1 incubator, Epic Companies, they had a media equity deal. So we produced, inhouse, a TV spot. This was my "acting" debut. “In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.” -Andy Warhol. If the quote is true, I have 14 minutes and 40 seconds of fame left.
